lululemon hires through its job site, careers.lululemon.com. You search by business unit (stores, distribution centres, Store Support Centres or Guest Education Centres), apply for a role, and lululemon gets in touch if you're under consideration. Its postings say plainly: "Only those applicants under consideration will be contacted."
Everything below about the process comes from lululemon's careers pages, its values page and its current job postings, linked as we go. Where those pages don't say something, we say so rather than guess. The interview questions further down are ones to prepare for, built from what lululemon's postings and values say it looks for.

What is the lululemon hiring process?
You apply online, lululemon contacts you if you're under consideration, you interview, and you hear back with an offer if you're selected. lululemon doesn't publish how long this takes or how many interviews there are, and both may differ between stores, distribution centres and head-office roles.
The application
- Search by business unit. The job site splits roles into Store, Distribution Centres (DC), Store Support Centre (SSC) and Guest Education Centre (GEC), across many countries.
- Set up a profile. If you don't see the right job, lululemon invites you to "Login or Register today and set up a profile with what you're looking for."
- Check the eligibility lines. The Educator posting we checked requires you to be 18 or older, legally authorised to work in the country, and able to get to the store with your own transport.
- Ask for accommodations early. lululemon asks you to email accommodations@lululemon.com with the position title, the location and the nature of your request.

What is the lululemon interview process?
lululemon doesn't publish its interview format, length or number of rounds. Ask the person who contacts you who you'll meet, how long to allow and whether there's an activity or written task.
One rule appears in every posting we checked. lululemon says the use of AI tools, "including but not limited to ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, DeepSeek", is "strictly prohibited during the interview process". That covers "live interviews, case studies, technical assessments, or written submissions". The posting adds that "any use of AI during the interview process will result in immediate disqualification" and that lululemon "reserves the right to use AI detection tools to verify the authenticity of candidate responses."
Does lululemon have an assessment?
lululemon doesn't publish a standard pre-hire test. Its AI rule mentions "case studies, technical assessments, or written submissions" as parts of the interview process, so some roles include them, but the postings don't say which roles or what they contain. If you're given one, the invitation should explain it. Do it yourself, without AI help.
What does lululemon look for?
lululemon's purpose, mission and values page gives its purpose as "Elevate human potential by helping people feel their best" and its mission as "Inspire the world to sweat, grow, and connect." Its core values are:
| Value | lululemon's description |
|---|---|
| Personal Responsibility | "We show up with integrity, accountable for the energy we bring and the impact we create." |
| Fun | "We laugh hard, celebrate often, and find lightness in the work because joy fuels performance." |
| Courage | "We speak up, listen, practice vulnerability, and take intentional risks." |
| Inclusion | "We build belonging through everyday actions." |
| Connection | "We connect through trust, movement, and achieving our goals together." |
Each posting also lists the skills it wants. The Educator posting asks for inclusion and diversity, integrity and honesty, guest experience, personal responsibility, self-awareness, collaboration and teamwork, and enthusiasm. The Store Manager posting adds leadership, decision making, drive, team building, strategic thinking, leading through change, business acumen and communication.
What does a lululemon Educator do?
An Educator is lululemon's name for a store team member. The posting calls the role "the foundation of our success as an organization" and says Educators are "experts in creating world-class customer service, or guest experience". The job includes:
- engaging guests and "sharing top-quality product education";
- assessing guests' needs and finding "customized, effective purchase and return solutions";
- handling transactions and omnichannel services such as buy online, pick up in store;
- taking guest feedback to store leadership to "make it right" for guests;
- restocking the floor, product presentation and cleaning.
Common lululemon interview questions
lululemon doesn't publish its interview questions. These are the questions to prepare for, based on its values and what its postings ask for. Use the STAR method (situation, task, action, result) for the "tell me about a time" ones; our STAR method guide shows how. Answer in your own words: lululemon bans AI help at every stage of the interview.
1. Why do you want to work at lululemon?
Be specific. Connect something you care about, such as running, yoga, training or community, to lululemon's purpose of helping people "feel their best". If you've been to a store event or used the product, say so.
2. How do you stay active, and what does wellbeing mean to you?
lululemon's mission is to "inspire the world to sweat, grow, and connect". You don't need to be an athlete. Talk honestly about how you move, rest and look after yourself.
3. What does a great guest experience look like?
The Educator posting asks for guest experience that "values guests' time". Describe service that is warm, attentive and efficient, and give a real example.
4. Tell me about a time you helped a customer find exactly what they needed.
Educators "assess guests' needs" and give "technical product education". Choose a story where you asked good questions, explained why a product suited the person and checked they were happy.
5. Tell me about a time a customer was unhappy. How did you make it right?
The posting asks Educators to take guest feedback to leaders and "make it right" for guests. Show that you listened, owned the problem and followed through.
6. Tell me about a time you took personal responsibility for a mistake.
Personal Responsibility is lululemon's first core value: being "accountable for the energy we bring and the impact we create". Pick a real mistake, what you did about it, and what you changed afterwards.
7. Tell me about a time you spoke up when it was uncomfortable.
lululemon's Courage value is "We speak up, listen, practice vulnerability, and take intentional risks." Describe a time you raised a concern or gave honest feedback, and how you listened to the response.
8. How have you made someone feel included at work or school?
Inclusion and diversity tops the skills list in both postings we checked, and lululemon's value is "We build belonging through everyday actions." Use a small, specific example.
9. How do you bring fun to your work?
lululemon lists Fun as a core value, and the Educator posting asks for enthusiasm and ways "to make work fun and engaging". Give an example that also got the work done.
10. How do others see you, and how do you know?
Self-awareness is on the Educator's skills list: being "aware of how words or actions may be perceived by or affect others". Mention feedback you've received and what you did with it.
11. What are your goals for the next few years?
lululemon's careers page says its people "relentlessly pursue our growth together", and its benefits include a goal-setting programme. Have one personal and one career goal ready, and link them to the role.
12. For leadership roles: tell me about a time you led a team through a change.
The Store Manager posting asks for change management leadership, team building and business acumen, including reading profit and loss statements, budgets and sales forecasts. Bring an example with a result you can describe.
13. What is your availability?
The Educator posting asks for a flexible schedule "including evenings, weekends, and holidays". Answer honestly and match your application.
14. Do you have any questions for us?
Ask how new Educators learn the product, what community events the store runs, and how the team gives feedback.
For more practice, see our lists of behavioural interview questions and situational interview questions.
How to prepare for a lululemon interview
- Read the posting's skills and values list and match a short story to each item.
- Learn the core values and be ready to talk about each one in your own words.
- Visit a store or try the product so you can talk about it specifically.
- Prepare four or five STAR stories covering a guest problem, a mistake you owned, speaking up, teamwork and including others.
- Know your availability and check it against the posting.
- Practise out loud without AI on the day, ideally in a mock interview with someone who will give you honest feedback.
Practising realistic work tasks
Interviews reward prepared stories. Store and guest work rewards judgement, and that improves with practice on realistic tasks. Cohesyve, which publishes this guide, runs free practice job simulations for job seekers. It isn't affiliated with lululemon and doesn't use lululemon's assessments or questions.
