ICICI Bank hires through its own careers site, which you reach from the Career Opportunities section of its About Us page. Beyond that, the bank doesn't publish its selection steps on pages we could read, so the interview you get depends on the role you apply for.
The facts below come from ICICI Bank's own pages and documents, linked as we go. Where the bank doesn't say something, we say so rather than repeat what prep sites claim. The interview questions are ones to prepare for; ICICI Bank doesn't publish its questions.

How do you apply to ICICI Bank?
Start from the Career Opportunities section of ICICI Bank's About Us page, which links to the official careers site at careers.icici.bank.in. Apply there rather than through links sent in messages, and don't pay anyone who promises you a job.
Scammers do use the bank's name. In January 2023 The Tribune reported that police in Himachal Pradesh had arrested a man after an ex-serviceman was phoned by someone posing as an ICICI Bank HR official, offered a supervisor's job and asked to pay several instalments for "verification". Check any call or offer against the official careers site.
Is there an ICICI Bank online test?
ICICI Bank doesn't publish one on the pages we could read. If a role uses a test, your invitation should tell you what it covers. Brushing up on percentages, interest and simple calculations is sensible preparation for any bank role.
What is the ICICI Bank interview process?
The bank doesn't publish how many interview rounds there are, who conducts them or what they cover, and this is likely to vary by role. Prepare examples from your studies or work that show customer service, accuracy and teamwork, and ask the recruiter what to expect.
What happens after the ICICI Bank interview?
ICICI Bank doesn't describe its offer or joining steps publicly. Keep your documents ready, and make sure your answers match your CV.
ICICI Bank interview questions and how to answer them
ICICI Bank says three principles guide its operations: "Fair to Customer, Fair to Bank", "One Bank, One Team" and "Return of Capital". These questions are common in bank interviews; the advice ties each answer to those principles and to the role.
1. Tell me about yourself.
Give a short summary: your studies or current work, one or two strengths, and why this role at ICICI Bank is your next step. Finish on the role.
2. Why ICICI Bank?
Name something concrete: a product or app you've used, a service you rate, or the principles above. Link it to what you want to learn in the role.
3. Why do you want to work in banking?
Give a specific reason, such as helping people make money decisions, working with numbers, or an internship that showed you the work. Avoid general answers about stability.
4. Tell me about a time you were fair to a customer when it was hard.
Use the STAR structure. Show how you helped the customer within the rules, even when a shortcut was tempting. That's Fair to Customer, Fair to Bank in practice.
5. Tell me about a time you worked with another team to solve a problem.
Describe the teams, your part and the result. A cross-team example is a natural way to show the bank's "One Bank, One Team" principle.
6. Tell me about a time you helped a difficult customer.
Show that you listened first, stayed calm and kept the customer informed. The bank says it wants staff to serve customers with humility, so avoid stories where you were simply proved right.
7. How would you explain a banking product to a first-time customer?
Pick a simple product, such as a savings account, and explain it in plain words: what it is, who it suits and any charges to check.
8. Tell me about a time you made a mistake with numbers or paperwork.
Choose a real, small error. Explain how you found it, fixed it and changed your checks afterwards. Accuracy matters in a bank.
9. How do you handle a target you're struggling to meet?
If the role has sales or service targets, explain how you'd plan your day, track progress and ask for help early. Never suggest selling customers something they don't need; that breaks "Fair to Customer".
10. What would you do if a customer asked you to bend a rule for them?
Say you'd explain the rule politely, offer what you can legitimately do, and escalate if needed.
11. Are you willing to relocate or work at any branch?
Answer honestly. If you have a constraint, say so and explain it.
12. Do you have any questions for us?
Ask about the training you'd receive, how performance is measured in the role, or what a good first six months looks like.

Bank interviews reward people who can explain products clearly and handle customer situations calmly, and that improves with practice on realistic tasks.
