Does Virtusa have an online assessment?
Virtusa's careers pages don't describe an online assessment. Virtusa doesn't publish whether it uses an online test. If your role or drive includes one, the invitation should tell you the format.

These are questions to prepare for. 1. Tell me about yourself.
Keep it to about a minute: your degree or current role, one piece of work you're proud of, and the skills you'd bring. End on why this Virtusa role fits, so the interviewer has an easy next question.
2. Walk me through a project on your CV.
Say what problem it solved, what you built yourself, which technology you chose and why, and what you'd do differently now. Virtusa's "Engineering First" line means interviewers are likely to probe your choices, so know your project in depth.
3. Which programming language are you strongest in, and why?
Pick one you can defend under follow-up questions. Expect questions on its core concepts, such as object-oriented design for Java or C#, and be ready to write a short piece of code or a query.
4. Write a SQL query or explain a database concept from your project.
If the job post lists SQL or a database, expect to be asked about it. Talk through your approach before you write, and check your answer on a small example.
5. Why do you want to join Virtusa?
Make it specific. Name an industry Virtusa serves that interests you, or the kind of engineering work you want to do, and link it to your skills. Avoid generic answers about "a big company".
6. Tell me about something you taught yourself recently.
This maps to Innovation and the "endless curiosity" Virtusa says its people share. Name something real, such as a framework, a cloud course or a side project, and how you've used it.
7. Tell me about a time you came up with a better way of doing something.
Virtusa says its organisation is "driven to find a better way". Describe the old way, what you changed and the result. A small, concrete improvement beats a vague big one.
8. Tell me about a time you worked in a team under pressure.
This tests collaboration and Passion for results. Show your part in the team result, how you supported others and what the outcome was.
9. Tell me about a time you disagreed with someone in your team.
This maps to Respect and to Virtusa's "transparent in action". Show that you listened, said what you thought openly and reached a decision together. Give the outcome.
10. Tell me about a mistake you made and what you did about it.
Own it, explain how you fixed it and say what you now do differently. Transparency is part of how Virtusa describes leadership, so don't hide the mistake.
11. How would you explain a technical problem to a client who isn't technical?
Virtusa works for clients across many industries. Use one plain example, skip the jargon and check they've understood before moving on.
12. Are you willing to relocate or work in shifts?
If the job post or drive notice mentions locations or shifts, expect this. Give an honest answer, and if you have limits, say what you can do rather than only what you can't.
13. Do you have any questions for us?
Ask what the team works on, which client industry the role supports, or how new joiners learn the tools. It shows the curiosity Virtusa says it looks for.
