Crumbl doesn't publish its interview questions; expect to be asked about customer service, your availability and the physical side of the job, which its jobs page and application stress. Crumbl's jobs page says applicants should "have a knack for customer service, and love cookies", and that's the best brief you'll get for what the interviewer wants to hear.
Crumbl doesn't publish a central interview format or question list. The facts below come from Crumbl's jobs page, one store's job posting and local reporting, each named as we go. Where nothing is documented, we say so.

How do you apply to Crumbl?
You apply online for a specific store. Crumbl's jobs page has you choose a location, then a role such as Baker or Driver, and says pay varies at each location. At the store we checked, applications and interview scheduling run through that store's own posting.
The jobs page sets out the basics:
- Minimum age: at least 16.
- Hours: full-time and part-time positions; pay varies at each location.
- Physical side: you need to be able to stand, walk, bend and lift heavy items from time to time.
- The work: processing orders, balling dough, topping desserts and occasionally driving.

What does the Crumbl application ask?
Questions vary by store. The Crumbl Baker posting for the Mason, Ohio store asks for:
- your last job: employer, position, skills you gained, why you left and how long you stayed;
- any other training, programmes, skills or awards;
- whether you've worked at a Crumbl before;
- your greatest strengths and your current weaknesses or challenges;
- your start date, availability and regular commitments such as school, a second job, caring or transport;
- whether you have a smartphone for team communication and scheduling;
- whether you can meet the dress code and the physical requirements.
That posting says detailed answers can speed up hiring and may qualify you for extra training and leadership roles. Treat the strengths and weaknesses fields as your first interview answers.
What are Crumbl's age rules for bakers?
Crumbl's jobs page sets 16 as the minimum. The Mason store's baker posting adds that you must be 18 to run mixers and processors; applicants aged 16 to 18 can do many bakery tasks but can't make dough on commercial mixers. It has no bakery positions for anyone 15 or younger.
What is the Crumbl interview like?
It depends on the store. Crumbl doesn't publish a standard format, length or panel.
One example: in 2022 the owner of a new Crumbl in Citrus Heights, California, held group interviews at set times through the week, as reported by the Citrus Heights Sentinel. He also told the paper that many people who booked an interview never turned up. That's one store four years ago, so don't assume your store does the same, but it does show that simply arriving on time sets you apart.
The Mason store's posting asks you to send your interview availability through a form, and says you'll get a text for each change to your application status and reminders for appointments. Keep your phone to hand after you apply.
Does Crumbl have an assessment?
No assessment is documented. Neither Crumbl's jobs page nor the store posting we checked mentions a test. If your store asks you to do one, ask what it covers; our guide to situational judgement tests explains one format employers use.
Common Crumbl interview questions and how to answer them
Crumbl doesn't publish its questions. These are standard questions for bakery and counter roles, with answers shaped by what Crumbl's own pages ask for.
1. Why do you want to work at Crumbl?
Crumbl tells you what it wants: a knack for customer service and a love of cookies. Say what you enjoy about the brand (the weekly changing menu is an easy example if you're a customer) and then connect it to serving people.
2. Tell me about yourself.
Keep it to your current situation, one relevant job or activity, and why this role fits your week. Finish with your availability.
3. What is your availability?
Be exact and honest. The application asks about school, other jobs and transport, so match what you wrote there. Say whether you can work early starts, late shifts and weekends.
4. Tell me about a time you gave great customer service.
Use the STAR method: the situation, what you had to do, what you did and the result. A school, sports or volunteering example is fine if you haven't had a job.
5. How would you handle a customer who received the wrong order?
Show you would listen, apologise, fix it quickly and tell a manager if it needs one. Crumbl's work includes processing orders and driving deliveries, so order accuracy matters.
6. How do you handle a rush when orders keep coming in?
Talk about staying calm, finishing one task properly before the next, and communicating with the team. Give a real example if you have one.
7. Are you comfortable standing for a full shift and lifting heavy items?
Crumbl lists standing, bending and lifting as requirements. Answer plainly. If you need an accommodation, the Mason posting says reasonable accommodation is available.
8. Can you follow a strict dress code and hygiene rules?
The Mason baker posting lists a hairnet, non-slip shoes and no jewellery or piercings. Say yes only if you mean it, and mention any food-safety habits you already have.
9. What are your greatest strengths?
The application already asks this, so expand on what you wrote. Pick two strengths that matter in a bakery, such as reliability and speed, and back each with an example.
10. What is a weakness or challenge you're working on?
Name a real one and what you're doing about it. Avoid anything that clashes with the job, like disliking early starts if you've applied for a baker shift.
11. Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team.
Bakers, drivers and front-of-house staff depend on each other. Describe how you shared work or covered for someone, and what happened.
12. Where do you see yourself in a year?
Crumbl's jobs page says crew can move into leadership or corporate roles. If that interests you, say so, and say what you'd want to learn first.
