Teleperformance Interview Questions and Hiring Process

The short answer

Teleperformance, now called TP, publishes little about its hiring process: you apply through its job search, and TP warns that its hiring managers only ever contact candidates from a @Teleperformance.com address. It doesn’t publish its assessment or interview steps, so prepare customer-service answers built on its five values: Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, Innovation and Commitment.

  • TP says its hiring managers only contact candidates from a @Teleperformance.com email address.
  • TP doesn’t use Telegram, and never asks you to pay money during the application process, including for equipment.
  • You can filter TP’s job search to show only work-from-home roles.
  • Ask your recruiter which tests and interview rounds your role has; TP doesn’t publish them.

Cohesyve, which publishes this guide, runs practice job simulations with a scored report on where you lost marks. Cohesyve isn’t affiliated with Teleperformance (TP) and doesn’t use its tests or questions.

Teleperformance now presents itself as TP: teleperformance.com redirects to tp.com, and its careers pages use the TP name. TP publishes how to apply and which email address its hiring managers use, and its Jamaica careers page says candidates are paid during training. It doesn't publish the steps in between, such as tests or interview rounds, and they vary by country, client and role.

Everything below comes from TP's own careers pages, linked as we go. Where TP doesn't say something, we say so. The interview questions are ones to prepare for; TP doesn't publish its questions.

The Teleperformance hiring process at a glance

StageWhat TP publishes
1. ApplySearch jobs on TP's site by country, location, category and language, or show only work-from-home roles
2. How TP contacts youTP's fraud warning says hiring managers only contact you from a @Teleperformance.com email address
3. AssessmentNot published
4. InterviewNot published
5. TrainingTP's Jamaica page says candidates are paid during training

Because TP hires for many clients and countries, the same job title can involve different steps in different places. The recruiter who contacts you is the best source for what your process includes.

What is the Teleperformance hiring process?

You apply online, a TP hiring manager contacts you, you complete whatever assessment and interview the role requires, and you start training if you're hired. TP doesn't publish more detail than that.

Applying to Teleperformance

  • Use TP's job opportunities page. Filter by country, location, category and language, or tick "Only Work-from-home".
  • Some countries use their own job sites, such as Belgium, Brazil, Germany and the Netherlands. TP's job search links to them.
  • Expect short forms for agent roles. TP's Jamaica careers page, for example, asks for your location, the best way to contact you (phone, text, email or WhatsApp) and the languages you're fluent in, and says no experience is needed.
  • Read the posting for language, schedule and on-site or home-working requirements before you apply.

How will Teleperformance contact you?

By a hiring manager using a @Teleperformance.com email address. TP says on its careers pages that this is the only address its hiring managers use, and that it doesn't use or communicate via Telegram.

TP also says it will never send you cheques or ask you to pay money during the application process, for equipment or in exchange for a job. If a message breaks any of these rules, report it to TP through its contact page and don't pay anything.

Does Teleperformance have an assessment?

TP doesn't publish whether it uses an assessment or what one contains. Ask the recruiter what to expect, including whether there's a language or skills check for your role.

If you're given a test with customer scenarios that asks what you would do, it's a situational judgement format. Our situational judgement test guide explains how that format works in general. TP doesn't name a test provider, so treat any specific test names you read elsewhere as unconfirmed.

What is the Teleperformance interview process?

TP doesn't publish its interview rounds, format or length. Ask the recruiter who you'll speak to, whether it's by phone, video or in person, and how long to allow.

Whatever the format, customer experience roles reward clear, calm answers with real examples. Use the STAR method (situation, task, action, result); our STAR method guide shows how. If you're interviewing in a second language, practise your answers in that language too.

What happens after the Teleperformance interview?

TP doesn't publish a decision timeline. If you're hired, you start training. TP runs TP University learning programmes for employees, and its Jamaica careers page says candidates are paid during training. For longer-term growth, TP describes a JUMP! TP Career Plan that prepares high-potential employees for leadership roles.

What does Teleperformance look for in candidates?

TP lists five values on its values and philosophy page, each written as an "I" statement:

ValueTP's statement
Integrity"I am transparent, ethical, and trustworthy."
Respect"I treat others with kindness and empathy."
Professionalism"I do things right the very first time."
Innovation"I am curious to bring a positive change."
Commitment"I am passionate and engaged."

TP's Choose TP page also says it wants people who want to "learn, grow, take on new challenges".

Common Teleperformance interview questions

TP doesn't publish its questions. These are the questions its values and its customer experience work point to, with how to answer each one for TP. For more practice, see our list of behavioural interview questions.

1. Tell me about yourself.

Keep it short: what you do now, any experience helping customers or people (it doesn't have to be a paid job), and why you want this role. Mention the languages you speak if the posting asks for them.

2. Why do you want to work at TP?

Pick something specific: the client or industry the role supports, the training, or the chance to grow into a team lead role. TP talks about learning and growth, so linking your answer to that fits.

3. Tell me about a time you helped an upset customer.

This tests Respect: "kindness and empathy". Show that you listened, acknowledged how they felt, fixed what you could and explained what happened next.

4. How would you handle a caller who is shouting at you?

Describe staying calm, not taking it personally, letting them explain, then steering to a solution. Say when you'd involve a supervisor.

5. Tell me about a time you made a mistake at work or school.

This maps to Integrity and Professionalism. Own the mistake, say how you fixed it and what you now do differently to get it right first time.

6. How do you handle repetitive work while keeping quality high?

Customer experience work can mean many similar contacts in a day. Explain how you stay accurate and engaged, which is TP's Commitment value.

7. Describe a time you suggested a better way of doing something.

This is Innovation, "curious to bring a positive change". A small, practical improvement is a good answer.

8. How do you handle targets or being measured on your performance?

If the role has performance measures, the posting or recruiter can tell you what they are. Show that you're comfortable with feedback and use it to improve, without rushing customers.

9. Would you be comfortable working from home, and what's your setup?

This applies if the role is work-from-home. Describe a quiet space and how you stay focused. TP says it never asks you to pay for equipment during the application, so be wary of anyone who does.

10. What is your availability for shifts?

Be honest and match what you put in your application. Ask what schedules the role uses.

11. Do you have any questions for us?

Ask which client the role supports, how long training lasts and what good performance looks like in the first months.

How to prepare for a Teleperformance interview

  1. Read the posting for the client, language and work-from-home or on-site requirements.
  2. Ask the recruiter which tests and interview rounds your role has, since TP doesn't publish them.
  3. Check every message is from a @Teleperformance.com address, and never pay anything to apply.
  4. Prepare four or five STAR stories on helping customers, staying calm, fixing a mistake and suggesting an improvement. Practise them out loud in a mock interview.
  5. Practise in the interview language if it isn't your first language.
  6. For video or phone interviews, test your connection and find a quiet room.

Practising realistic work tasks

Customer experience roles reward judgement on real conversations, and that improves with practice. Cohesyve, which publishes this guide, runs practice job simulations for your role, with a scored report on where you lost marks. It isn't affiliated with Teleperformance (TP) and doesn't use its tests or questions.
