The Bandhan Bank recruitment process depends on how you join. Experienced candidates apply online through the bank's Join Our Team form. Fresh graduates can apply for the Aspiring Bank Champions (ABC) Programme, a "Hire-Train-Deploy" route run with three training partners that ends with you joining Bandhan Bank as an Assistant Manager.
Everything below comes from Bandhan Bank's careers page and the three partner pages it links to, checked in October 2026. Where they don't say something, we say so rather than guess.

How do you apply for a job at Bandhan Bank?
Through the Join Our Team form on bandhan.bank.in. It has three steps:
- Which job role and location excites you? You choose a preferred department and a preferred location.
- Tell us about yourself.
- How can we get in touch with you?
The bank doesn't publish what happens after you submit, how many interview rounds there are, or whether there is a written test for experienced roles. Expect the process to vary by role.

What is the Bandhan Bank Aspiring Bank Champions Programme?
It's Bandhan Bank's entry route for young graduates. The bank describes it as a Hire-Train-Deploy programme combining classroom learning, hands-on banking experience, personal and professional development, and exposure to customer-facing and business banking roles. It is delivered with three training partners, and you apply through one of them:
- Manipal Academy of BFSI
- Institute of Professional Banking (IPB)
- Crack-ED
According to the partner pages, the programme lasts six months: three months of classroom training and three months of on-the-job training in the bank. If you complete it, you join Bandhan Bank as an Assistant Manager.
Who is eligible for the ABC Programme?
All three partner pages list the same criteria:
| Criterion | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Qualification | Any graduate, full-time or regular-mode degree |
| Marks | At least 50% in graduation |
| Age | 21 to 28 years |
What is the selection process for the ABC Programme?
Each partner describes its own steps. They follow the same pattern: an application, a test, an interview, then a letter of intent.
| Step | Manipal Academy of BFSI | IPB | Crack-ED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apply | Register online | Submit application | Online application |
| Test | Online assessment | IQ test with IPB | Online aptitude test: numerical ability, logical reasoning, banking aptitude |
| Interview | Virtual interview | Interview with Bandhan Bank | Online personal interview |
| Offer | Provisional offer letter | Letter of intent | Letter of intent and enrolment |
| Training | Campus training, then on-the-job training | Pay the training fee, residential training, then on-the-job training | Onboarding, classroom training, then on-the-job training |
| Join | Join Bandhan Bank | Job deployment | Placement |
Is there a fee?
Yes. The partner pages list a programme fee for the classroom training. They state that Bandhan Bank reimburses it in full based on your service: 50% after one year and the remaining 50% after two years, each with a one-year clawback clause. Check the current amount and terms on the partner's own page before you commit. Only apply through the links on Bandhan Bank's ABC page, so you know you're dealing with a genuine partner.
Which department will you join?
That's decided after training. IPB says your final posting, across Assets, Liabilities or Microfinance, depends on your on-the-job record, domain understanding, customer communication and assessment scores. Crack-ED names the same three areas: Microfinance (managing customer portfolios), Assets (loan sales) and Liabilities (CASA and deposit accounts).
What is the Bandhan Bank aptitude test like?
Only Crack-ED describes its content: numerical ability, logical reasoning and banking aptitude. IPB calls its step an IQ test, and Manipal an online assessment. None publishes the number of questions, the time limit or a pass mark. Our guide to aptitude test questions explains the common question types.
What is the Bandhan Bank interview like?
For the ABC route, the interview comes after the test and is online or virtual on the Manipal and Crack-ED pages. IPB lists it as an interview with Bandhan Bank. None of the pages describes its length or questions.
Bandhan Bank interview questions to prepare for
Bandhan Bank's careers page names three things it values: professionalism, effective teamwork ("Teamwork, cooperation and collaboration are the pillars of our work culture") and respect for all. Its roles for new Assistant Managers sit in microfinance, loans and deposits, mostly facing customers.
These questions are built from those pages. Use the STAR method for questions about past experience.
1. Tell me about yourself.
Keep it to your education, any work or internship, and why banking. End with why this role.
2. Why do you want to join Bandhan Bank?
Bandhan Bank describes its purpose as inclusive banking. Explain what that means to you and why you want a customer-facing banking career.
3. Why should we select you for the Assistant Manager role?
Link your strengths to customer service, sales and working in a branch team.
4. Are you willing to work anywhere in India?
The partner pages list the job location as pan-India. Answer honestly; your preferred location is also asked on the application form.
5. Which area interests you most: microfinance, assets or liabilities?
The bank decides your posting after training, so show interest in all three while being honest about your preference.
6. What is CASA, and why does it matter to a bank?
Liabilities roles acquire and manage current and savings accounts. Explain the basics clearly.
7. How would you explain a loan product to a customer who has never borrowed before?
Microfinance and assets roles serve first-time borrowers. Show patience, plain language and honesty about repayments.
8. Tell me about a time you worked in a team to meet a target.
Teamwork is one of Bandhan Bank's three pillars, and the partner pages describe a target-driven environment.
9. Tell me about a time you treated someone with respect when it was difficult.
"Respect for all" is a named pillar. Choose a real example involving a customer, classmate or colleague.
10. How would you handle a customer who is upset about a delay?
Listen, apologise where right, explain what happens next, and escalate when needed.
11. Where do you see yourself in a few years?
The partner pages describe growth into senior branch responsibilities. Mention the skills you want to build first.
12. Do you have any questions for us?
Ask how postings are decided after training and what support new Assistant Managers get.
