What is high-volume hiring?
High-volume hiring is recruiting many people into the same or similar roles within a short period, typically for frontline positions such as customer support, retail, warehouse or seasonal work.

The defining problem is scale: far more applications than any team can read closely, for openings that need filling quickly. Screening and shortlisting become the bottleneck, which pushes teams towards standardised steps such as knock-out questions, short assessments, recorded interviews and group interview days.
The risk is that speed wins over judgement and the process filters on whatever is easiest to check. A short job-relevant assessment given to every applicant produces a consistent signal at scale and lets recruiters spend their time on the people most likely to do well.
Also called: high-volume recruiting, volume hiring, mass hiring.
Example
A logistics company needs 200 seasonal warehouse associates in six weeks. Applicants answer availability questions and complete a 10-minute task on reading pick lists, and the top scorers are booked straight into group interview sessions.
