Blinkit's published values and Eternal's hiring questions centre on owning outcomes, prioritising and being comfortable saying "I don't know", so prepare for interviews around them. Blinkit is one of the businesses of Eternal (the company that started as Zomato), and blinkit.com/careers sends you to Eternal's careers page.
How you get hired depends on the kind of role. Office roles go through Eternal. Warehouse and delivery partners sign up through Blinkit's own pages. The details below come from those pages, linked as we go. Where they don't say something, we say so.
The Blinkit hiring process at a glance
| Route | How you apply | What happens next | What Blinkit or Eternal says about timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Office roles (Eternal) | Through an employee referral only | A conversation with the person who refers you, then Eternal meets you | Not published |
| Warehouse partner | Through Blinkit's warehouse partner page; questions to warehousejob@blinkit.com | Interview, appointment letter at joining, then in-house training | Not published |
| Delivery partner | Fill in the form on Blinkit's delivery page | Documents, registration, background verification, onboarding and a training module | Not published |
What is the Blinkit hiring process?
It depends on the route. For office roles, you need a referral from someone at Eternal. For warehouse work, you meet Blinkit's requirements and interview. For delivery, you register as an independent partner and complete verification and training.
Office roles: referral only
Eternal's careers page says it accepts applications only through employee referrals. Its advice is to find someone on the team who can vouch for you and have a conversation with them; "That's where it all starts."
Eternal says hiring is the most important role at the company, and that it creates opportunities around great people rather than fitting people to openings. It doesn't publish its interview rounds, any test or a timeline.
Warehouse partner roles
Blinkit's warehouse partner page describes the job as picking, packing and sorting customer orders. Its requirements:
- at least 18 years old;
- a 10th pass certificate as the minimum qualification;
- basic English reading and writing;
- copies of your Aadhaar card and PAN card;
- a valid bank account.
Blinkit says there are two nine-hour shifts, day and night, and that it explains incentives at the interview. You get an appointment letter when you join. To ask about openings, Blinkit gives the address warehousejob@blinkit.com.
Delivery partner sign-up
Blinkit's delivery page says delivery partners are independent contractors who use their own two-wheelers and choose their own schedule. You need to be 18 or older and have:
- a two-wheeler and an Android phone with an active internet connection;
- a valid driving licence, registration certificate (RC), insurance certificate and PAN card;
- address proof and an active bank account.
You fill in the form, Blinkit's team contacts you, and you submit your documents to register. Blinkit then runs a background verification check. Once you clear it and finish onboarding and a delivery training module, you can start taking orders.

What happens in the Blinkit interview?
Blinkit and Eternal don't publish an interview format, the number of rounds or how long it takes. What they do say:
- Office roles: Eternal says that when it meets potential team members, it asks itself four questions. Are they smarter than us? Are they more ambitious than us? Do they take full ownership of their lives? Are they comfortable saying "I don't know"?
- Warehouse roles: Blinkit refers to an interview, where it explains incentives.
Neither page says whether office roles include a test or a case exercise, so ask your recruiter or the person who referred you what to expect.
What happens after the Blinkit interview?
- Warehouse partners get an appointment letter at joining and go into in-house training for their process: Inbound, Inventory or Outbound, depending on the role. Salary is paid monthly into your bank account.
- Delivery partners start once verification, onboarding and training are complete.
- Office roles: Eternal doesn't describe the steps after an interview.
What interview questions does Blinkit ask?
Blinkit doesn't publish its interview questions. The questions below are ones to prepare for. Most are built on Blinkit's four values, from its What we value page, and on Eternal's hiring questions and culture page:
| Blinkit value | What Blinkit says it means |
|---|---|
| Unwavering accountability | The outcome, not just the output, is your responsibility |
| Ruthless prioritisation | You can tell the urgent from the important, and don't get attached to your projects |
| Intellectual honesty | You're self-aware, and seek help quickly when you hit your limits |
| High integrity | You're authentic and transparent, and work to offset your own biases |
Use the STAR method (situation, task, action, result) for the "tell me about a time" questions.
1. Tell me about yourself, and why Blinkit?
Keep it short and specific to the role. Show you understand what Blinkit does: quick delivery of groceries and everyday essentials, plus categories such as electronics and beauty. Say which part of that work you want to own.
2. Tell me about a time you owned an outcome from start to finish.
This tests unwavering accountability. Blinkit draws a line between outcome and output, so don't stop at "I shipped it". Say what result you were responsible for, what got in the way and whether you got there.
3. Everything on your list is urgent. How do you decide what to do first?
Ruthless prioritisation. Walk through a real example: what you chose, what you dropped and why. Show you can separate urgent from important.
4. Tell me about a project you stopped or handed over, even though you cared about it.
Blinkit says it wants people who are passionate about their work without getting attached to it. Explain why stopping was right and what happened next.
5. Tell me about a time you said "I don't know".
Eternal asks whether candidates are comfortable saying it. Give a real example where you admitted a gap, how you found the answer and what changed as a result. This is intellectual honesty.
6. When did you last hit the limit of what you could do alone?
Blinkit says intellectually honest people seek help quickly when they hit a personal ceiling. Show who you went to, how quickly and what you learned.
7. What's the most ambitious thing you've done?
Eternal asks whether candidates are more ambitious than its own team. Pick something with a stretch goal, explain why it was hard and be honest about how far you got.
8. Tell me about a time you put the team ahead of your own goals.
Eternal's culture page puts "we" before "me" and says it commits to the team, not the individual. Describe a trade-off you made for the team and why.
9. Tell me about a bias you noticed in your own thinking.
High integrity at Blinkit includes becoming aware of your biases and working to offset them. Choose a work example, such as favouring your own idea or a familiar supplier, and what you did about it.
10. How do you work when you're short on time and out of your depth?
Eternal's culture page says you always feel a bit uncomfortable there: a little short on time, a bit inexperienced for what you're doing. Show a time you delivered anyway, and how you learned fast.
11. What would you improve about the Blinkit app or delivery experience?
Use the app before the interview. Pick one specific problem you noticed, say who it affects and suggest a fix you could test. Keep the focus on the outcome for customers.
12. Who referred you, and what did they tell you about the work?
For office roles, Eternal hires only through referrals, so expect this. Show you had a real conversation with your referrer about the team and the role.
13. For warehouse roles: which shift can you work, and have you done picking or packing before?
Blinkit runs nine-hour day and night shifts across inbound, inventory and outbound work. Be clear about the shifts you can commit to, and give an example of accurate, steady work under time pressure.
How to prepare for a Blinkit interview
- Find a referrer for office roles, and talk to them about the team before you apply.
- Read Blinkit's values page and Eternal's culture page, and match a story to each value.
- Prepare five or six STAR stories about ownership, prioritisation, admitting a gap and teamwork. Our list of behavioural interview questions gives you more to practise on.
- Use the Blinkit app and note one thing you'd improve.
- For warehouse or delivery roles, gather your documents (Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, and for delivery your licence, RC and insurance) before you apply.
- Do a mock interview with someone who will push back on your answers.
- Don't pay anyone for an Eternal or Blinkit job. Eternal says it never charges for a role, and asks you to report payment requests to hr@eternal.com.
Practising realistic work tasks
Blinkit's values are about owning outcomes and choosing what matters under pressure. Cohesyve, which publishes this guide, runs practice job simulations for your role, with a scored report on where you lost marks. It isn't affiliated with Blinkit or Eternal and doesn't use their assessments or questions.
