Cohesyve Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Cohesyve browser extension ("the Extension") handles your information. It applies specifically to the Extension. Use of the Cohesyve website and product is governed by our main Privacy Policy.

1. What the Extension Does

The Extension adds an "Add to Cohesyve" button to job postings on supported job boards. When you click it, the Extension imports that job into your Cohesyve account, where it is turned into a tailored skill assessment for that role.

Supported sites are:

• LinkedIn
• Indeed
• Naukri

2. Information the Extension Accesses

Job posting content — only when you click "Add to Cohesyve"

When you click the button on a supported job board, the Extension reads the content of that specific job posting — the job title, company name, job description, and the page URL — so it can be imported into your account. This happens only on your explicit action, and only on the supported job-board sites listed above.

Account connection token

To link the Extension to your Cohesyve account, the Extension stores a single secure access token on your device using your browser's local storage. This token lets the Extension send imported jobs to the correct account. The Extension never stores your Cohesyve password.

3. How We Use This Information

• The job posting you choose to import is sent to Cohesyve's servers and added to your Cohesyve account, where it is used to generate a skill assessment for that role.
• The access token is used solely to authenticate your imports to your account.

4. What the Extension Does Not Do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
• We do not track your browsing or read pages you have not chosen to import.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to importing jobs into your Cohesyve account.
• We do not execute any remotely-hosted code — all of the Extension's code ships within the package.

5. Permissions and Why We Need Them

• Storage — to save the single account-connection token described above. Nothing else is stored.
• Access to the supported job boards (linkedin.com, indeed.com, naukri.com) — to read the job posting you are viewing and place the "Add to Cohesyve" button, so a job can be imported when you click it. Content is read only on your action.
• Access to cohesyve.com — to complete the one-time account-linking step and to send your imported job to your Cohesyve account.

6. Data Sharing

The Extension shares data only with Cohesyve's own servers in order to provide the import feature you request. We do not share your data with unrelated third parties, and we do not sell it.

7. Data Retention and Your Control

• Jobs you import live in your Cohesyve account and can be deleted there at any time.
• Disconnecting the Extension, or clearing your browser data, removes the stored connection token from your device.
• You can uninstall the Extension at any time to stop all access.

8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

The Extension's use of information received from Google APIs and from the pages you interact with adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data accessed by the Extension is used only to provide and improve the single feature it exists for — importing a job you choose into your Cohesyve account — and is never sold, used for advertising, or used for any unrelated purpose.

9. Children

The Extension is intended for people old enough to seek employment and is not directed at children under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
