Where your data goes,in plain words.
Where Cohesyve runs, which services process hiring and candidate data, what proctoring captures, how AI scoring works, and who to contact.
Updated October 2026
Google Cloud, United States
The app runs in us-central1. Files such as résumés and recordings are kept in Google Cloud Storage.
Your team makes the call
Cohesyve scores and recommends. It never moves a candidate forward or out on a score alone.
Face templates aren’t kept
Identity checks run on Cohesyve’s own servers. The face templates they compute are not stored.
Candidates are told
Before a proctored assessment starts, candidates see that it is proctored and why each permission is needed.
Services that process data
Who touches your data.
The outside services that see hiring or candidate data, and what each one does.
Google Cloud
Hosting and storage. Gemini models on Vertex AI write questions, read résumés, and run voice role-plays and phone calls. Cloud Vision processes ID photos and liveness checks. Speech-to-Text transcribes short proctoring audio clips.
TypeSafe
A specialist AI provider. It evaluates each answer and sets the final scores and recommendation, and also vets résumés, judges sourcing fit and reviews proctoring transcripts.
Exa
Finds candidates for sourcing and adds their contact details and work history.
Twilio
Carries WhatsApp messages and phone calls. Calls made by Cohesyve's AI voice agent are recorded.
Loops
Sends candidate invitations and reminders.
DataFast
Measures how the product is used.
Outreach emails are sent from the customer’s own mailbox. Gemini requests use Vertex AI’s global endpoint, so AI processing can happen outside the US.
Proctoring
What proctoring captures.
There is no proctoring on the free trial. On a paid plan it is on by default for each new role, and the hiring team can switch it off for a role or choose which checks run.
Captured when it is on
- A reference photo, then a photo every five minutes and whenever something is flagged
- A recording of the screen and microphone for the whole session
- Camera checks for no face, a second face or a phone, run in the candidate's browser
- Tab switches, copy and paste, leaving full screen, developer tools, extra monitors and virtual machines
- IP address and browser details
Off unless the hiring team turns them on:
- Photo of an ID document
- Liveness check
- Room scan
Never captured or done
- Webcam video. The camera only takes still photos.
- Face templates. They are computed to check identity, then not stored.
- Automatic rejection. Proctoring gives the hiring team a trust score from 0 to 100, with its reasons. It never ends an attempt.
AI scoring
How candidates are scored.
- 1
One rubric per role
Every candidate for a role is assessed on the same job-specific skills, weighted the same way, and scored against one rubric.
- 2
Questions for each candidate
Questions are generated for each candidate, so they can't be shared, and their difficulty adapts to the answers.
- 3
Scores you can check
Each candidate gets scores and a recommendation (Strong Hire, Hire, Consider or Not a Fit), and every score links to the answer behind it.
- 4
Your team decides
Scores never move anyone forward or out on their own. The hiring team makes every decision.
What happens automatically. Résumé knockout rules and pass-or-fail screening questions apply exactly as the recruiter sets them, and the recruiter can override a knockout. An assessment also ends early if an answer is flagged as abusive.
